It is an air cooled 1251 cc engine which has 4 cylinders. The engine is 4 stroke and is dual over head cam (DOHC). The fuel efficiency is achieved by using an electronic fuel injection system.

The chassis is made of steel but still is very light and enhances the riders command over the XJR. State of the art ABS brakes have been used with two discs on the front and one disc on the rear brake. High class technology has been used to build the systems and the XJR itself.
