Albeit Benelli is currently Chinese-owned (Qianjiang), the manufacturer’s history is closely aligned with that of the motorcycle industry in its root nation Italy.

According to Wikipedia: “Benelli was established in Pesaro, Italy in 1911. Teresa Benelli, a widow, invested all of the family capital into the business in the hope that it would offer stable work for her six sons: Giuseppe, Giovanni, Francesco, Filippo, Domenico and Antonio (“Tonino”).”

Anyway — this bike is NOT the average 1976 Benelli 250 2C. It’s the CUP version — not surprisingly a racing bike.
