These motorcycles’ architecture were lean and long with a good blend of color and chrome perfect for the summer sun.

The Seventy-Two by Harley-Davidson is a tribute to the glory days of the lean bikes with its ape bars and red flake finish. It also pays homage to Route 72 in East Los Angeles which used to be and is still is the cruising boulevard of today.

According to the design team, the creation of the Seventy-Two was also inspired by the beginnings of the chopper era. The bikes during that time were very simple with color and chrome plus all the essentials for a nice ride. The examples of the period are really fitting to the motorcycle scene in America and that in the state of California.

The metal flake was a very important element of design during the 1970s and it appeared in almost everything from upholstery, dune buggies, and on custom bikes. The sparkles comes alive again as Harley rolls out the Seventy-Two.

Here are some of the features of the 2012 Harley-Davidson Seven-Two:

V-Twin 1200cc Evolution engine with a torque of 73 ft-lbs.

Chrome covers for the gray powdercoat finished powertrain

Classic peanut gas tank wit 2.1 gallon capacity

mini-ape handlebar

Chrome laced rims with Dunlop wheels with white side walls

Solo vinyl covered seat

chrome air cleaner cover

chrome cup for the speedometer on the handlebar

rear fender is chopped to expose the rear tire

chrome work on the struts on the rear fender

forward positioned foot control

bracket for the license plate is side mounted

You might have enough muscle on your bike, but you always want more. You might not have enough, and you will be craving for a lot more.
The Ninja 650 is not the most potent motorcycle that you can find in the market today but in terms of its improved performance, new bodywork, and chassis, it is pound for pound one of the best pic for a midsized bike at the moment.

The new Ninja 650 gets the most aggressive styling compared to its previous versions. The bodywork reflects the styling of Kawasaki’s supersport bikes using tapered brow and flowing lines which blend well with the other elements of the structure.

Aerodynamic-wise, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 is designed optimally. It has a windscreen which you can adjust to three positions, a wider handlebar, and a thicker foam for its seat assembly. All these plus the other elements make up a very comfortable ride. There are also other improvements like the LCD information center which shows you the speed, fuel consumption, trip meters, remaining range, and a host of info-lights.

This Kawasaki bike has a very advanced 694 cc vertical twin liquid cooled powerplant that has a fuel injection setup that guarantees optimal response and very precise fuel supply. The Ninja 650 has enough power and guarantees that you will be very satisfied when you are on the road.

The Ninja 650 is an overall outstanding bike for the streets with impressive performance that has enough oomph to satisfy your craving for power and muscle. This is perfect for novices who want to get used to a legit powerful streetbike.

This is not an issue for Yamaha lovers since the 2012 FZ1 already boasts of good performance numbers.

The FZ1 is the biggest naked sportbike in the current lineup of Japanese manufacturer Yamaha, and it has a big chunk of expectations to meet. No worries though as the new Yamaha FZ1 has a lot of things going for it and it will not be a problem to meet and exceed the demands of the market.

The Yamaha FZ1 retains the sculpted design of its body which means it still features a very aggressive stance for a naked bike. The seat comes as a two-piece configuration to guarantee a comfortable ride while a grab rail is there for the passenger.

The FZ1 makes use of a multireflector 60/55 watt headlight which is designed in consonance with the aggressive profile and aerodynamics of the bike. The Yamaha FZ1 also features high-tech gauges like a digital speedometer, trip meter, odometer, tachometer just to mention some.

Between the frames is a powerful 998cc 20 valve DOHC engine which is specifically tuned to have that mid-range aggressiveness and massive power. The FZ1 also has a fuel injection setup in place with computerized sub-throttle valve which guarantees that the air mixture and fuel delivery are very precise to have that power thru the range of the rev.

The handling of the FZ1 Is also impressive with an adjustable suspension system that allows the driver to maximize the versatility of the bike without sacrificing comfort and performance capabilities.

In the last decade, we have seen how the motorcycle technology continued to soar to greater heights and no other motorcycle has seen this at its greatest other than the MotoGP, which is considered to the top motorcycle event in the industry. During the MotoGP, we have seen a series of powerful engines, impressive electronics packages for your two-wheel wonders, gearboxes with enhanced ratios and quicker lap times, and more.

These seem quick impressive if you ask me, but if there’s an aspect in the motorcycle models that need a few more tweaks, it’s the engine layout design and the rider and suspension layouts. Of course, the Vyrus is, perhaps, the only exception to this. Vyrus is an Italian motorcycle company with its homebase in Rimini. This small motorcycle maker has the motorcycling world stunned with its hub-center steering mechanism that enables it to challenge its rival models in the massive Honda empire.

The prominent Vyrus 986 M2 also boasts of a 600cc four-cylinder engine unit and rear shock features attached to its sides. The motorcycle’s radiators are located below the engine. Quite impressive right? Totally rebellious to the standard motorcycle design.

The video footage of its performance on the Misano Circuit in Italy looks really radical. The Vyrus 986 M2 is set to launch this September with an initial tag price of $34,000. Get ready for a totally awesome motorcycle experience and design with the mean-looking Vyrus 986 M2 and its tech-genius new platform and ground-breaking design.

Have you ever wondered how the first electric motorcycle came to be? Whether you are a big motorcycle fan or simply interested in how the automobile industry produced the first electrically-charged motorcycles, grab a bucket of popcorn and enjoy Mark Neale’s movie Charge. Not only does the movie take you on a spin on board the birth of electric motorcycles, the movie is narrated by no less than the sultry voice of Ewan McGregor.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Charge tells the challenges and success of the teams that took on the death-defying challenge of making the fastest laps around the Snaefell Mountain Course which is about 37.7 mile long. To make the challenge more interesting, the teams decided to do it by producing motorcycles that were once just fantasies, thus the birth of the electric ones.

The film chronicles the tales of Michael Czysz’s MotoCzysz and Team Agni’s Cedric Lynch, who was one of the pioneer designers of the electric motorbikes used by the teams that took on the course at Snaefell Mountain. Though the movie sort of fast forwards to different events from the Snaefell Mountain Course to the TT Zero to Manxland, the movie chronicles the wonderful evolution of automobile technology that made everything possible today.

So far, Mark Neale’s Charge is only available in Canada and the U.S. and can be downloaded from the film’s website. For a different kind of ride, catch the film and get engaged in how the electric automobiles started and how technology stems from man’s imagination.

The MotoCzysz E1PC is electric and is considered as the most advanced bike known to man today. It will definitely be the motorcycle of the years to come.

First things first, the name is pronounced as Moto-sizz. Stories about this Michael Czysz creation has been going around the web but no pictures nor any detail were released until its debut on the track for the Isle of Man TT which has been the testing grounds for the great creations of bike maufacturers.

Of course, it is clear that this motorcycle is bad-ass in one way or another or we will not be posting it here. The future of motorcycles makes use of a custom 12.5 kilowatt-hour battery pack made from lithium polymer that can be change in only a few seconds. The MotoCzysz E1PC can blast out 100 horsepower and an excellent torque of 250 pound feet.

It was again a photo finish for the E1PC since the panels for its body were delayed at the customs but reach in time for the first sessions of practice. The bike showed no glitches as it left its competition finishing the session 3 minutes ahead of the pack. The bike pegged an excellent 140 mph for its top speed with an average speed recorded at 94.66 miles per hour as it lapped the course of 3.7 miles.

The design of the E1PC was also perfect for the track as no adjustments had to be done with its body like other bikes which encountered ground-clearance problems as they bank into a turn.

Enjoy the pics of the E1PC.

These are works of art — Million dollar bikes that are built for visual pleasure — something the designer Chicara Nagata succeeds in achieving in every single one of his creations – in my humble opinion.

Mr. Chicara has built 13 bikes to date, 3 of them that can be seen at the Ippodo Gallery right now (where you can also buy them for one million each). Photos below are the bikes currently for viewing – photos thanks to the Ippodo Gallery & the official Chicara Art site!
